Weird Wisconsin Hard Rock

From investigating haunted concert halls to performing at abandoned hospitals to hitting the stage at a UFO convention, Sunspot doesn’t just sing about adventures, they live them. Writing Dilithium-powered Rock anthems inspired by high strangeness from Arthurian legends to Shadow People, Time Lords to Transylvanians, Sunspot is pure energy rock that sounds like Muse meets Cheap Trick with Douglas Adams writing the lyrics.

Meet The Band

Musicians with a taste for adventure and a proclivity for the paranormal, Madison's Sunspot is back with their latest studio album, "The Strangest Frequency", a straight-ahead guitar rock record that indulges the band's love of punk, metal, and pop.

With their uncanny lyrics, massive harmonies, and six-string fireworks, Sunspot has been touring the rock underground for over two decades and performs driving rock anthems that capture the fantastic and bring it back down to Earth. Since forming at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Sunspot has released nine albums and hundreds of podcasts and videos.

The band has managed to capture some critical attention as well. Vitaminic calls them "pure rock and roll adrenaline." SOSMusic NYC says Sunspot knows "how to write a memorable hook" and adds, "they're ready for mass consumption." Cincinnati's CityBeat says their music is "endearingly honest PopRock free of gimmickry."

Sunspot has also created hundreds of hours of podcasts called "See You On The Other Side" and "Sunspot Road Mania" which combined original music with discussions and interviews about how the paranormal and entertainment worlds are connected.
